According to Pew Research, of all the social networks, Twitter is the least utilized, with just 13 percent of members participating in it. Facebook has the most utility at 92 percent; MySpace, 29 percent; and LinkedIn, 18 percent.
The average age of the Facebook member is 38; Twitter, 33; and LinkedIn, 40.
LinkedIn is the only network that has more men than women. Twitter, on the other hand, has more woman than men, making up 64 percent of its member base.
African-Americans have the lowest presence on LinkedIn, making up a mere 2 percent of its membership.
LinkedIn is far and away the most saturated platform when it comes to whites, who make up a whopping 85 percent of its base.
