In Tune With The Time Lord

The “Doctor Who” theme, composed by Ron Grainer and Delia Derbyshire at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, in 1963, was one of the first electronic music signature tunes for television. A masterpiece science-fiction melody, it aimed to replicate time travel acoustically.

The show first aired on November 23, 1963. How must viewers have reacted to this revolutionary sound?
