By crunching data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Tax Foundation has created a map, which shows the relative value of $100 in each state.
In Mississippi, $100 could buy $115.74 worth of goods relative to the national average. At the other end of the spectrum, is Hawaii, where you’d only get $85.32 worth. Washington, D.C. is even lower, at $84.60.
