The Ground Beneath The Stone Giants

The Stonehenge.

A high-resolution, 3D map of the ground beneath the Stonehenge indicates that the circle of giant stones didn’t stand in isolation, but were surrounded by a network of 17 religious monuments, spread across an area the size of 1,250 football fields.

Under one of the many mounds is a trapezoidal, timber building, about 100 feet long, dating back about 6,000 years. It was likely a place for burial rituals, including excarnation (the stripping of flesh from bones.)

Interestingly, the classrooms in which Apple holds its in-house training sessions for employees are trapezoids, too.
