Warmest Winter Ever

It appears that all the chill the planet had to offer this season, it’d reserved only for the East Coast of the U.S., for while we shivered and shuddered, everyone, elsewhere, went about without lighting their fireplaces.

But did they expect to hear that this was the warmest winter in the last 135 years, ever since record-keeping began in the late 19th century?

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reports that between December and February, the average temperature across all the landmasses and oceans was 1.42 degrees Fahrenheit above the 20th century average.
