There’s Glory In Failure

Every now and then, a product flops so terribly that it becomes memorable for that very reason.

Take Colgate’s Beef Lasagna. Back in the 1980s, the toothpaste brand took a crack at selling TV dinner. It was a spectacular debacle, but that little to do with its taste and flavor.

It’s difficult to eat a pasta meal prepared by a leading maker of oral detergents. And Colgate had made the error of making its forte evident by putting its logo on the box.

Another doomed enterprise was BlāK, a coffee-flavored Coca-Cola launched by the soda giant in 2006.

Take a look at more failed innovations.

      1. Would he really? 😉
No, not traveling at the moment. But getting ready for the annual Paris summer trip. 6-7 weeks to soak in the old country. 🙂

      2. Yes. A ritual. A few years ago, looking down at the Seine near Notre-Dame, I realized I’d been searching for Beauty all my life, all the way to where the world ends, while I had it right there, in Paris. 🙂
We still have family and friends scattered in the interior, but with the constant strikes, we probably will stay in Paris. (Sigh of contentment)
